Johannus Musical Contributions
Jan 2022
We are kicking off the new year with a work by the German master himself: a piece that wasn’t actually written for organ, but for another instrument. This composition is part of one of the six sonatas/partitas for solo violin, written by Bach between 1703 and 1720. (LiVE Sample Set: Dresden, Silbermann)

This Christmas Carol is probably one of the most famous in the world. Adolphe Adam composed music to go with it, and some time later the song was performed for the first time. The organ arrangement we are offering this month is by William Joseph Westbrook (1831-1894). (LiVE sample set: Paris, Cavaillé-Coll)
